Chapter 3
Frankie’s Day Out
Nick,Frankie,Thea, and Sidney then walked out to the car garage, deciding that the two little siblings would go with Thea and Nick. They agreed to go to the mall and hang out for awhile. Nick,Thea, and the two little ones arrived at the mall laughing at something Frankie had said. Thea parked the car, got out, helping Sidney out of the car while Nick helped Frankie jump out of the car.
“Where do you want to go first?” Nick asked Frankie as they stopped near the door. Luckily Thea had pulled the four of them behind a wall so they didn’t get trampled by people. Frankie thought for a minute.
“GAME ROOM!” Frankie said smiling. Thea and Nick laughed to each other and smiled at the two little ones.
“Alright. Game Room it is,” Nick told Frankie. Nick grabbed Frankie’s hand and Thea grabbed Sidney’s hand. Frankie reluctantly then grabbed Sidney’s hand and they all walked in inside. Some how the teenage girls missed Nick walk in because none of them ran up to them ,screaming. The four of them walked past several stores full of people and some heads, Thea noticed, did a double take at the four. Nick started to turn and Thea knew they were at the Game Room known normally as “Tilt.”
“I’ll be right back,” Thea said to Nick, slipping a five into his hand as she walked away. When Nick looked up she had disappeared. He looked around but she was no where in sight. He shrugged it off and got game tokens for Sidney. He put six dollars in for Frankie. He told them to pick a game and he would give them enough tokens for it. The two ran off and each found a game to play. Frankie found the racing game and Nick gave him three tokens to play it and Sidney found soccer game and Nick gave her eight tokens to play it. Nick watched the two little kids while he waited for Thea to return.
Ten minutes passed and Nick felt a tap on his shoulder. When he turned, he saw Thea standing there with two small buckets(the size of cups) full of gold tokens. Nick’s eyes grew seeing them.
“Where’d you get the money for all of those tokens?” Nick asked at the tall semi-blonde/brunette girl who had a wide grin on her face.
“I knew you were gonna ask that,” Thea told him. “I work here. I use to work here full time for five years and they allowed us to have as many free tokens as we wanted. Since I still work here but only part time I still get the privilege,” She explained.
Nick looked at her being surprised. He hadn’t known anyone like Thea that could balance having a part time job and fame like her. Thea knew what he was thinking because offend people thought the same thing and actually told her. The truth was she didn’t know anyone famous that had a job because of their fame.
“Man, you Travis Sisters sure know how to keep balance in your lives,” Nick said as Thea handed him one of the cups.
“Its all thanks to a couple people we call Mom and Dad,” Thea told Nick as he took the cup.
“Your parents sound like ours. They taught us that, too, but its hard,” Nick said giving Frankie a few more tokens.
“I’ve had a lot of experience,” She told him.
