Ren double-checked to ensure that there was no one in the boys common room, before entering quietly. He wore the exact same clothes he had worn in the cafeteria. Which consisted of his black shirt with a red skull on his shoulder and white letters running diagonally across his chest in a foreign language. His pants were dark red cargo's, and he wore black tennis shoes. He approached a lounge chair and comfortably sat down, gently petting a long thing wrapped about his neck. It's was a serpent, and a lovely one at that. She was a lovely shade of light grey with slightly darker grey speckles all over her body. There were evenly spaced grey-black spots all the way along her spine, however, as they got closer to the tail, they became the lighten up slightly until the snake's tail ended with a brilliantly red spot.
This was Ren's pet red tail boa, named Sernan. He dearly cared for that snake, seeing as he had watched her grow from hatching. She was actually about five foot now! Sernan had most of her body wrapped about her owner's neck, her red spotted tail hung over his left shoulder, while her head over the opposite shoulder. Carefully Ren put his hand to Sernan's neck just behind her head and pulled her toward him, carefully he placed a light and feathery kiss on her forehead and smiled gently as he petted her smooth and flawless scales with a light hand. Sighing in content, Ren leaned back and Sernan curled tighter around his neck and rested her head on his left shoulder comfortably.
"Well Sernan, seems like it's turning out just they way I thought it would. Mikey tricked me into joining the school paper, and will probably soon be hunting down people to hang out with me..." The red tailed boa sighed, almost as if she were agreeing, making Ren smile lightly again. "I just don't understand why brother just won't let me finish school without anyone noticing me and move on... is that too much too ask? Who needs a relationship or a lover? Technically human being don't really need to have a life partner, they just choose to. Maybe I can just try and got to a normal school... you think that might help?" There was no answer and Ren sighed, his frown returning, "You're probably right Sernan. If they don't accept me at one school, what makes me think they'll accept me at others." Though i'm not sure it they'll accept me or not... since no one but you and Mikey know.
